About Our 7' Utility Trailer Plans

These plans are for our 7' utility trailers. the 7' utility trailers have an actual deck width of 82" wide and an over all width of right at 7' wide.

The 7' utility trailers are tandem axle trailers and we have included the 4' ramp gate plans.

 

Our 7 foot wide trailer plans have become very popular because they are a good sturdy trailer, easy to build and with two 3500# axles they have a gvwr of 7000# which is usually plenty for most folks.

 

We also included the step by step instructions and photos for installing electric brakes.

 

We have four sets of plans of 7' wide tandem axle utility trailer plans to choose from. You have a choice of the 12’, the 14’, the 16’ or the 18’.

 

Our 7' wide trailer plans give you the option of taking advantage of a great deal and building you trailer from a trailer kit.

About the trailer parts kit

The kit is only an option, if you would rather purchase the parts on your own or maybe you already have some of the parts you would like to use, that is fine. These plans give you complete step by step instructions for building the trailer including the materials list. The only reason we included the information for the parts kit in these plans is because we thought it might save you some money.

(4) 5 lug painted hubs and bearings with 4.5'' spread -
or - (4) 5 lug painted hubs and bearings with 5.0'' spread
(4) 25 ¼ 4 leaf double eye springs (1750#)
(2) 1.5 front spring hanger (black iron)
(2) 3.25 center hanger (black iron)
(2) 2 3/8'' round black iron tie plate kit (includes 4 ubolts & 2 plates)
(8) 3'' black iron shackle links
(14) 9/16 x 3 ½'' black iron grade 5 spring bolts with nuts
(4) 2 3/8'' round black iron spring pads
(1) 2000# top wind a frame jack
(1) 5000# 2'' a frame coupler
(1) Utility trailer light kit
